Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago I always had a camera in my hand.
Be it an old pentax or the family’s super 8 movie camera I was kinda obsessed.
Heading west in 89 to pursue the dream I attended the Colorado Institute of Art.
Two years of photo school was enough for me and I was off to assistant land.
This was also brief and I soon opened my first studio in 92.
Since then Ive traveled far and wide shooting mostly adverting work.
In 2000 some friends and I built my current studio from the ground up.
It was lots of hard work and late nights but good time were had by all.
( I posted a funny video of the build on you tube if your interested, search "Freehill Studio" )
I would classify myself more as a location shooter but love to work in the studio as well.
Best regards,
Brooks
